I recently ordered the GIB software as a gift for my Italian friend,
Dr. Roberto Scognamillo.  I had occasion to speak to you via telephone
during that transaction.

My friend received the software last week and has asked me to pass on
to you his immense satisfaction and appreciation for your product!
First of all, he was obviously pleased that an Italian version is
available among the 8 languages used.  Moreover he was delighted that
versions are available for Linux and MacOS as well as Win95.  The Java
code renders it portable on various platforms.  The use of Open Source
allows those with technical competence to contribute to the betterment
of the interface or other secondary parts of the software.

He quickly and easily ran the patch program on the GIB website, and
updated the version 2.5.7 that he received to the latest and greatest
version 2.6.2 released in April.  As part of this update, he can now
access over 500 games of Spingold(1996/97) and Vanderbilt (1997/98)
tournaments.

Last but not least, he was highly impressed that GIB bridge play
quality is excellent, extremely versatile, and allows individuals to
compare their play with those of the masters.

Matt, I don't think I have ever purchased a gift so well received.  On
behalf of Dr. Scognamillo and myself, thank you for marketing such an
excellent product that can be enjoyed by many bridge enthusiasts
throughout the world.  Compliments on your success!
